This Refund Policy outlines the circumstances under which refunds may be issued for donations made to Patanwada Trust. As a charitable organization focused on education promotion with financial aid for economically weaker sections, medical support, and assistance to widows, divorcees, and destitute women, we strive to ensure transparency and accountability in all transactions.

2 Eligibility for Refunds

Refunds are generally not available for donations, as they are used to directly support our welfare initiatives. However, we may process refunds in exceptional cases such as:

  • Technical Errors in Processing: Duplicate donations due to system errors.
  • Donor Errors: Incorrect donation amount or frequency entered by the donor.
  • Fraudulent Transactions: Unauthorized use of payment details, subject to verification.
  • Cancellation Requests: Requests made immediately after donation, before funds are disbursed to programs.

3 Refund Processing Time

Eligible refunds will be processed within 7 working days of approval. Once processed, the refund will be initiated to the original payment method, subject to the policies of the payment gateway (Razorpay) and your bank.

International refunds may take additional time depending on cross-border banking policies.

4 How to Request a Refund

To request a refund, please follow these steps:

  2. Include the following details in your email:
    • Your full name
    • Donation amount and date
    • Transaction ID or receipt number
    • Payment ID (from your bank statement or Razorpay receipt)
    • Reason for refund
  3. We will review your request and respond within 3–5 business days.
  4. Upon approval, the refund will be processed within 5–7 business days and credited to your original payment method.

6 Non-Refundable Donations

Donations processed for our ongoing programs in education, medical support, and women's assistance are non-refundable in the following cases:

  • Donations older than 7 working days.
  • Donations already used for specific program expenses (e.g., scholarships or medical camps).
  • Recurring donations — cancellations handled separately via your account settings.
  • International donations subject to cross-border fees.

7 Refund Charges

Refunds may incur charges which are deducted before crediting the amount:

  • Payment Gateway Fees: 2% transaction fee (Razorpay processing charges).
  • Bank Charges: As applicable by your bank for processing the reversal.

Patanwada Trust does not profit from refund charges. These are pass-through costs levied by the payment processor.

8 Governing Law

This Refund Policy is governed by the laws of India. In case of disputes, we encourage resolution through amicable discussion. If unresolved within 7 working days, the matter may be escalated to the appropriate consumer authorities.
